October 12, 2015 by Amber Filed Under: #projectvintagegem, amber b design, before and after, central new york design, design 4 Comments

And here we are, ready for Part 2 of the reveal for Project Vintage Gem! Thank you all so much, for your kind words about this project on facebook, instagram and here on this blog. Your encouragement means more to me than you know! Today’s reveal will be the living room portion of the great room. Thanks again to my dear friend Nicole, for helping me style this space up on photo shoot day! And just like Part 1, all of the after pictures are by the very talented Sarah Heppell Photography. Lets get right to the pictures…

    Hi Amber,
Your furniture placement is so perfect! Who would have thought to tuck the table into the corner w/the small upholstered bench? Only you! I love everything – the sectional is perfect! The ladder w/the blanket! The acrylic table with the rustic trunk underneath???? Who thinks of these things? You that is who!

Thank you so much, Kathleen! Your kind words mean more to me than you know. It is sad to be finished with this project. It was so fun to see it all come together.

I love this space- you have a great mix of new and old-perfect combination-

Can you please share the resources for the navy gourd lamps and the plaid carpet in the family room?

    Thanks for the reply-

Hi Jennifer! Thank you so much for your question and for reading. The navy lamps are from Lamps Plus. They are the double gourd lamps in the ‘Naval’ colorway. And the plaid rug is from Dash and Albert. Hope this helps!

The chandelier looks so much bigger for this space. The second image shows the before, so you can also compare! Sometimes, you don’t have to replace the whole light fixture. One new, small idea can make all the difference. Thanks so much @frontgate #amberbdesignathome #coastalliving #hgtv #bhghome #loveyourhabitat #diningroom

This light was here when we moved in and I think adding the cream shades will make the chandelier look bigger in scale and just give it a new look! It has been through wind, rain and lots of sunshine and still has that beautiful navy blue color. I wasn’t able to find the exact one, but my Like to Know It page has two very similar options!
