A Quick and Easy Furniture Update

August 1, 2012 by Amber Filed Under: design Leave a Comment

Are you like me and love high end pieces, but refuse to pay an arm and a leg for it?? I want the look, just not the cost. So an easy and inexpensive way to update a dresser in 5 minutes is by replacing the knobs! Maybe you have a dresser in need of a little refreshing or you found a great flea market piece that needs a little pick me up. The options are limitless. You can update bedroom dressers, media units or even kitchen cabinets! Here are a few of my favorites that can be adapted to any room!

Linen Flower Knob
Silvered Mirror Knob
Gleam Theory Knob
Pink Poppy Knob
Crystal Ornament Knobs
I love the last two images for a nursery! If you have a night stand with two knobs, it’s a quick $20 fix with great impact.
Have you made any quick fixes lately??

Hardware really does make all the difference and doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg. Love your choices!

Totally agree. I've been known to use old glass door knobs on dressers.

Now that the ladder has been relocated to the family room, this corner is definitely in need of some height. I almost went with the idea of a tree and while I love it in other homes, I just didn’t see it here. So I went on Pinterest in search of inspiration and @studiomcgee to the rescue! I love the idea of a pedestal with a vase and maybe some branches, instead of a tree. I can switch up the accessories on the pedestal and I think it’s the winner! Inspiration in the next slide. #amberbdesignathome #coastalliving

It breathes new life into a space, even with subtle touches. I switched the living room and family room table lamps and I like the larger scale lamp in here! This year, we had it to the left of the television and I really feel like that space is now so empty. I tried the living room ladder in its place and I love it! But the living room needs it there too. What to do?! Maybe a tall plant in one of the spaces?! Two ladders within feet of each other?! 😂 #amberbdesignathome #coastalliving #howyouhome #SMmakelifebeautiful #loveyourhabitat #bhghome
