My Favorite On Line Shops for Clients (and Myself!)

October 12, 2012 by Amber Filed Under: design, design services, e-decorating, e-design, new design source

I have been busy with e-decorating projects lately. As I was sourcing pieces for clients, I realized that there are several stores I often go back to, knowing they have reliable, pretty things. So I thought it would be fun and useful to pile that into one post. Here are my favorite go to shopping sources for clients (and myself!)

West Elm for pretty much, anything!

Home Decorators Collection for mirrors and rugs.
Anthropologie is a bit pricey, so I usually just source knobs and hardware. The choices are beautiful and would take any furniture piece to the next level.
Etsy is a great source for accessories, pillows and art. You can type key words into the search engine and great sources pop up! I find a lot of my new favorite shops that way.
After I find my etsy pillows, I come to Pottery Barn for the down filled inserts. The prices are surprisingly affordable for inserts.
Z Gallerie is a great source for unique accessories. They can be pricey, so I usually suggest a piece and then ask e-design clients to check out Marshall’s first. You may find a similar option for less!
World Market is an amazing source for great looks for less!

Did you know about this site?

June 28, 2011 by Amber Filed Under: new design source

I always love to find a new source for inexpensive, beautiful home decor. I came across one last week! In the mail, I received a new catalogue from Home Decorators Collection. You can shop through their catalogue or on-line, and their selections are comparable to other more expensive retailers, but with a better price tag! I guess they are a division of Home Depot- the catalogue is great! So, I decided to create a design board using (mostly) products from their collection.
I was so impressed with their selection and prices! Everything on this design board is from the Home Decorators Collection, except for the martini side table, throw pillows and orange drapery fabric. I am impressed and will definitely use this store for future design boards for clients (or for our home)! If you are interested in having a design board created for you, please e-mail me at [email protected].

Was I the only one left out in the dark about this source?

Also, I’m over at Courtney’s blog, A Thoughtful Place today, sharing an easy, fun dessert for the 4th of July! Stop over and check it out!
