Decoration mode is in full swing around here! I am feeling more motivated and love to see all of the holiday decor back out in the home. I came across this picure recently and love the rustic, beautiful way this mantle is styled.

I love the garland around the top of the mirror, the white brick on the fireplace and the beautiful check pillows- it all works so well together! The simplicity of the fruit works so well with the gorgeous and dramatic garland.

What I’ll Be Doing This Week…

It’s about that time to start taking out the bows, ribbons, wreaths and all the trimmings! I am starting a new series later this week, called Deck The Halls! Every week leading up to Christmas, I will feature a spot in my home that is all ready for the holiday season. (This will be a great motivator for me, as I seem to put things off!) These are the things I am thinking about for this week, via pinterest:

Over the years, I have decorated our home similar to these ideas above. This might be a little ambitious for the week, but I am (hopefully) up for the challenge! Wish me luck!

Happy Thanksgiving week! I look forward to eating a lot, relaxing and eating a lot! I cannot believe Christmas is around the corner. Where has the time gone? This time of year really makes me think about all I am thankful for. My wonderful family and friends who are so dear to my heart- I am so thankful for you!

Memorial Day Festivities

I love the beginning of summer- the warm weather, the fresh fruit and spending time with friends and family. And especially on Memorial Day Weekend, I feel especially patriotic and like to pay tribute to the men and women of our military! Thanks for all you do to keep us safe.
