Happy weekend and welcome to the series Fashion Friday… where I discuss my other design love. I have really been loving the coral trend in both interiors and fashion. I put a nautical inspired look together today, around a pretty coral blouse!

Nautical Inspired

I think of soft, feminine pastels for summer, and this blouse was the perfect starting point! To give a nautical inspired touch, I fell in love with these anchor earrings and knew they had to be included in this outfit. I picture this to be a pretty beach outfit that can easily translate to dinner out, so flat sandals and a chic tote are practical yet also fun. I love the tie dyed look of this maxi skirt, too! Soft and light accessories round out this look for a fun filled, beach weekend! To shop this look, click on ‘Nautical Inspired’ below the outfit!

Happy weekend and welcome to Fashion Friday… my other design love. Yesterday’s gorgeous kitchen and sitting area inspired the look of this outfit. The color black anchors a room, and it works the same way with an outfit. It’s my go to color in fashion and always looks great on everyone!

Green Chic

My favorite part of creating outfits is picking out the accessories. There are so many beautiful pieces out there that can compliment an outfit. I am always drawn to playful, whimsical jewelry that makes the ensemble more fun and laid back. And I’m loving the bright, skinny jean trend lately and need to pick myself up a pair. I used a lot of black in this outfit to help balance the bright jeans. I also like to do the same with interior design. If there’s a bright color in the space, I try to mix in some subtle, neutral tones for balance.

And on a personal note, today is our wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary to my wonderful, loving husband! 🙂

Fashion Friday and an E – Design Winner!!

And now on to Fashion Friday… my other design love. Yesterday’s space was fun, modern and had a great color combination of aqua and orange. Today’s outfit was inspired by that color palette-

Aqua and Coral

I had so much fun putting this outfit together, because the colors remind me of summer! The best time to go bright and bold is in the summer months and what better way to start than with this fun maxi skirt. I have to invest in a couple of these this summer, because they are comfortable and transition so well from daytime to dinner. Here, it’s paired with a fun striped tank top and eternity scarf. The Tory Burch sandals and Michael Kors ring bring a fun and colorful vibe to the outfit. Top it off with a bright clutch and sunglasses and you’re ready for anything!

Fashion Friday – Summer Blush

Yay, it’s the weekend! Welcome to the series Fashion Friday… where I discuss my other design love. Today’s outfit is all about the feminine, blush colors of summer. I was inspired by yesterday’s floral fabric on the wingback chairs, so I knew I wanted to include a floral print of some kind in this outfit. Enjoy!

Summer Blush

This outfit is all about mixing the highs and lows. I started with this pretty H&M skirt and paired it with a Tibi collared blouse. I love these blush pinks, corals and creams for summer! The accessories are fun, whimsical and compliment the feminine vibe going on in this outfit. (I even found this little elephant wearing some coral!) The quilted shoulder bag also goes in theme with the light color palette, making it a soft outfit for the season.

Happy weekend and welcome to the series Fashion Friday… where I discuss my other design love. Today’s look is all about a chic, relaxing style for summer. I imagine open sandals, flowing skirts and comfortable fabrics to beat the summer heat.

Summer Relax

This is my kinda outfit! I love to be comfortable, and starting with sandals, a tank top and a flowing skirt works for me! As interiors as well as outfit ensembles, it’s fun to create a balance of high and low. This Derek Lam skirt easily works with earrings from etsy and sunglasses from H&M. I love using color in my summer wardrobe and this mix of bright yellow with blue and red is a fun way to start!

Ready for Summer

I was inspired by yesterday’s office space and thought these bright skinny jeans were a great starting point. I then thought of the hints of black in the space, grounding the room, so I found these black sandals and jewelry to ground the outfit. After that, I went off on a tangent and veered away from yesterday’s space, to a whole beach inspired look. I found this beautiful straw beach bag, which would be the perfect catchall for summer apparel. Then the fun shirt, scarf and sunglasses finish off this summer look.

Fashion Friday – Crazy for Bangs!

I wanted to start this post by saying Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful and inspiring mothers out there, including my sweet and supportive mom! I have turned out like my mom in so many ways, which I’m proud to say!  🙂

I am loving the bang trend lately, and am thinking about cutting bangs again! I have long brown hair right now and thinking of adding some layers and bangs to the front. I do have a pesky cowlick in the front that will bother me a bit, but I can’t help but give it another try and cut them again! After all, hair always grows and there’s always the option of pinning them back, right??? Here are some great inspiration images via pinterest. This is the direction I am thinking of going…

Fashion Friday

Happy Weekend and welcome to the series Fashion Friday… where I discuss my other design love. This summer inspired outfit reminds me of yesterday’s cheery and fun master bedroom space.

Color and Pattern

This outfit, like yesterday’s room, has personality, color and pattern. I started this ensemble with the bright yellow pants! I wanted to go bold with the pants and help anchor the outfit, similar to the way the tufted headboard anchored the space. When I found the striped top, it instantly reminded me of the blue and white flame stitch pillows in the room. The bedroom space had various shades of blues mixed in with yellows and greens. I thought this scarf helped to also tie in the outfit’s colors like the duvet did in the room. The accessories in this outfit are fun and reminiscent of a casual summer day. And in yesterday’s space, the cheerful, eclectic vibe made you feel right at home and relaxed.

Happy weekend and welcome to the series Fashion Friday… where I discuss my other design love! Yesterday’s living space was warm, inviting and super stylish. The room had soft, netral colors with hints of fun, geometric patterns. Today, I tried to replicate that feel in an outfit!

Neutral Chic

I loved yesterday’s soft, neutral palette. To recreate this look with fashion, I immediately thought of a spring outfit, with warm pastels! The wedge heels have a hint of pink on the inside, and that is replicated in the casual blazer. The patterns on the skirt and clutch reminded me of the geometric designs in the room’s occasional chairs and pillows. The jewelry here is soft and doesn’t compete with the outfit, similar to the subtle moments in the space. The clutch stands out as a showpiece and makes me think of that amazing art above the fireplace mantel!

Fashion Friday

Happy weekend and welcome to the series Fashion Friday… where I discuss my other design love! Yesterday’s office space was beautiful, comfortable and practical. So, this outfit was easy for me to put together, because I always dress for practicality and comfort! I could look at gorgeous heels and chic dresses all day long, but the fact is that I love to be comfortable!  🙂 So here’s my fashion interpretation of yesterday’s room!

Stylish and Comfy

But who says comfortable can’t also be stylish? Starting this outfit off with a pair of fun flats works for me (and my feet!) I love the look of skinny jeans with a long cardigan, to help with balance. The pop of green with the top is fun and feels like spring to me! The jewelry is eclectic, mixing different stlyes, just like yesterday’s room. And the clutch was unique with its wood veneer… very reminiscent of the gorgeous farm table in the office space.
